Merry Christmas to all hope everyone is well and had a lovely Christmas. Sorry its been a while since I have blogged.I have been very busy crafting, knitting, sewing baking and felting. In the summer I held the biggest coffee morning for the Macmillan nurses in memory of my mum.I was baking all week taking cakes into work and I raised £50 from sales at work- then on the Saturday I had a cake  sale at home and friends and neighbours came to support. It was a lovely day and it went really well  I had a small raffle and raised £150.00 a grand total of £200.00 which i was so happy with and sent it off to the MacMillan nurses who do a marvellous job. Also I had been preparing for a Christmas craft fair in Birmingham on 3rd December. It was a lovely day and I had a stall with my friends Lynne and Corinne. We sold a fair bit and it was nice to be in the Christmas spirit.

Also I turned 50 this year.I had three weeks of celebrating,,,,,,,,,,, I went out for drinks and a dance with friends and family. My sister really spoilt me and organized lots of nice things for me, She's a star,,,,,,,,,,, then me and my husband went to Berlin for the weekend. When we came back my lovely boys had laid the table and bought a cake ,balloons and food ,a big thank you to them . .We had a fab time and would love to go back in the summer,,,,, then I went to see 'We will Rock You' in London. My friend Kim got us some free tickets and I really had a fab day and enjoyed it  thouroughly ;it finished off my birthday celebrations nicely.

Over the last two months I have been selling my crafts at a local new shop in Earlsdon called Mooch - 46 Earlsdon High Street Coventry CV5 6EJ. It is a fab shop full of gorgeous textiles and handmade crafts. The owner Claire is very helpful and friendly and always makes you feel welcome, its well worth a visit if you are looking for that something different.I have also been selling my brooches to the lovely ladies at work .A big thank you to everyone who has supported me and encouraged me with my crafts.

I am now thinking about Valentines Day so have to get my thinking hat on and also will hopefully sey up my Folksy account with the helpof my son ,so watch this space. I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year

Hi Followers,
Hope you are all ok. I'm sorry it has been a while since I have blogged.First I have had to wait for my son to show me how to blog and also I lost my lovely mum a couple of months ago after bravely battling cancer. It has been a very sad time and she is greatly missed. Mum enjoyed crafting, she loved knitting and helping me with bits of sewing and seeing what things I had made, she was my no 1 fan and she enjoyed the craft parties helping me to organise them. This year I will donate half to breast cancer and half to pallitive care MacMillan nurses. Also this year I will be doing the Race for Life as I'm now back to full fitness.I will do it in memory of my mum.I sent £50.00 to breakthrough for breast cancer from the last craft fair.Thank you to all who came to support us.

I am thinking I will make some birthday cards.I am also making some more brooches and birds ready for next craft fair.

Happy crafting

Craft party

Hi,

The craft party was a big hit so a big thank you to all who came and made the night a success. There was plenty of bargain Xmas gifts to be had, made by Angie,Val, Laura and myself. The cute little Xmas trees were a success and Angie's delightful elf,dog and Father Xmas were popular. The Gingerbread aprons were sweet. The handmade Xmas cards went well too.My owls were popular too, getting extra orders to make some more!Hand felted brooches and robins were a hit and Val's hand knitted hats and baby clothes sold well too.Laura made some lovely jewellery and delicious mince pies and Xmas biscuits too plus the Mulled wine went down a treat. A contribution to Breast Cancer charity will be donated when I've taken in the rest of the crafts to sell at school and the final total is reached.I will post this when I know this. I am now busy making more festive owls .......... Happy crafting, love Nicky xx
